Nigerian Navy In Talks To Acquire Ships From PAT-PAL Indonesia

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Deputy Minister of Mining, Strategic Industries, and State-Owned Enterprises Ministry Fajar Harry Sampurno said that Nigeria is exploring the procurement of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) war ship.
"Nigeria is interested in bringing in a warship made by Pal Indonesia and the two sides have been in talks for the procurement," Harry said at the office of the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday.
According to Harry, the type of warship to be built PAL still has not been determined whether the destroyer of the Missile (PKR) or Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV).
"The realization of this procurement of warships will be tailored to the needs and budget of the country. The SSV's general specifications include 123.0 meters long, 21.8 meters wide, 5 meters water fiber, 7,200 tons weights, and 621 people carrying capacity. With the successful export of warships to the Philippines it invites investments in the form of similar warships from other countries.
